What is cold brew?

For starters, this is not about adding ice to your favourite coffee! Cold brew is coarsely ground coffee steeped in cold water and strained.

This process may take up to a day. What you get is great coffee with lower acidity and a naturally sweeter taste.

Cold brew typically uses a higher coffee-to-water ratio as well. So, you get more buzz for your buck.

The typical hot-brewed coffee requires the rapid and intense extraction of flavour from beans. This results in a more acidic and bitter drink. And when ice is added to the hot coffee, the flavour gets diluted.

So, if you want a better-tasting coffee anytime of the day, cold brew is the way to go!
